Company Join a dynamic and growing company based in the heart of Leicester! We are seeking a skilled and motivated Financial Accountant to join their finance team. Key Responsibilities:Prepare and oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.Generate and review financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Conduct variance analysis to explain differences between actual and budgeted figures.Reconcile key accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.Prepare month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.Assist in the preparation of the annual statutory accounts.Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial performance.Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, including the preparation of financial models.Monitor and report on key financial metrics to ensure alignment with business goals.Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory filings.Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for audits.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and ensure best practices are followed.

Qualifications & Experience:ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or part-qualified, QBE also considered.Proven experience in a financial accounting role, preferably within a corporate setting.Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and financial regulations.Proficiency in accounting software's and MS Excel.Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
