Position: Industrial AccountantLocation:Shepshed, near Loughborough - Full-time, on-siteReports to: Management Accountant / Operations ManagerAbout the Role:Are you a meticulous and analytical professional eager to make a substantial impact in the manufacturing industry? Our client, a leading manufacturer of specialised products, is looking for an Industrial Accountant to join their vibrant finance and operations team. In this role, you will offer financial support and expertise to the Operations Team, acting as the crucial link between production and finance.Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile monthly management accounts, covering materials, labour, overheads, fixed assets, stock, and journal entries.
  • Examine and report on group financials (P&L, variance analysis, KPIs, HR, stock) and present insights at monthly business reviews.
  • Oversee stock control and forecasting to align with commercial demand and stock level needs.
  • Deliver daily updates on industrial sales, labour efficiency, and material efficiency to support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Engage daily with the industrial environment to address variances, promote improvements, and support efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with the Industrial Management team to review departmental spending and performance, sharing information to manage costs within the budget.
  • Assist in budget preparation and forecasting alongside the Management Accountant, Financial Controller, and Industrial Management team.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of company processes and accounting systems to provide coverage for other Finance team members.
  • Investigate and correct master data in the ERP system and offline tools to calculate standard costs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Studying towards CIMA/ACCA qualification or equivalent experience.

  • Proficient in MS Excel (intermediate/advanced level).
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and persuade.
