Interim Commercial Accountant

Interim Commercial Accountant Leicester £500 - £600 a day outside IR35.SF Recruitment are working with an instantly recognisable business in their search for a Commercial Accountant to join the business & assist with the ongoing development of the commercial finance function. As the Commercial Accountant you will be responsible to oversee & upgrade the controls embedded within the Commercial Finance Process. Review internal Commercial Finance process and identify opportunities to improve controls with the objective of improving both the accuracy and integrity of the output numbers. The ideal Interim Commercial Accountant will also work closely with the Business & Finance Analyst and act as a mentor. Duties of the Commercial Accountant- Support the internal team with driving commercial finance performance across the business. Acting as the conduit between the Finance and Commercial Teams you will collaborate effectively to help execute strategies that drive top-line growth and improve profitability. - Help to drive improved forecast accuracy through challenging the commercial team on their underlying forecast assumptions. - Help the business analyst to implement pricing strategies which will grow revenue and optimise margins across Retail and Out of Home channels - Support the introduction of additional controls around sales invoices to ensure pricing consistently matches what has been agreed with customers. - Evaluate the performance of promotional mechanics and seek to improve ROI through insightful analysis and innovative solutions - Support the Commercial Team in delivery of their annual growth plans and set up controls to ensure performance of Joint Business Plans (JPBs) is effectively monitored - Partner with Commercial Budget Holders to aid understanding and ensure ownership of overhead budgets - Provide support within an ERP Implementation Project Applied Skills, Knowledge, Experience- Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) - Experience working in a FMCG/FOOD Manufacturing would be advantageous - Finance business partnering, pricing and FP&A exposure - Hands on experience of an ERP implementation project would be desirable (and in particular MS Dynamics) If you are immediately available & interested in the above - please apply for immediate consideration
