We are recruiting on behalf of a growing legal firm based in Leicester, dedicated to providing exceptional legal services to a wide range client. Their team is committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and client care. As they continue to expand, we are looking for a talented and motivated Legal Cashier to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing client and office account transactions.
  • Handling electronic bank payments and receipts.
  • Reconciling bank accounts daily and monthly.
  • Ensuring compliance with SRA accounts rules.
  • Managing petty cash and office expenses.
  • Preparing and processing invoices and payments.
  • Liaising with fee earners and support staff regarding financial queries.
  • Preparing month-end and year-end financial reports.
  • Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers.
  • Supporting the external accountants during audits.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Cashier within a legal firm is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of SRA accounts rules and regulations.
  • Proficiency in legal accounting software.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • AAT or similar financial qualification is desirable but not essential.
