Management Accountant         Leicester

Salary £35-£45K

Our client is a successful SME engineering group, seeking to recruit an all-round accountant to strengthen the management team.

Main Tasks Include:

  • Supervision of credit control – to include debt collection and reporting, cash allocation, new account creation
  • Supervising the daily invoice posting, invoice matching to stock systems, expenses and statement reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations and regular reporting
  • Management of accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Completion of month-end closure and production of management accounts
  • Consolidation of group accounts and intercompany management
  • Assistance with cash flow management
  • Processing of quarterly VAT returns
  • Supervision of payrolls and pensions (processed by colleagues) along with year-end submission of P11d’s
  • Costing and variance analysis
  • Liaising with bank, external auditors & government bodies (ONS)
  • Other general administrative and accounting duties

Ideal Candidate:

  • At least part-qualified accountant (AAT, CIMA or ACCA
  • Experience within a small company
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Keen problem solver in a capture and calm manner
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Experience of Microsoft Office essential, Opera experience advantageous but not essential
