An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a private equity-backed, high-growth business in Leicester. This is a dynamic environment where you will play a key role in driving business performance through insightful financial reporting. You’ll be reporting directly to the Financial Controller, contributing significantly to the finance function and supporting the company’s rapid growth.

Role Overview:

As Management Accountant, you will be responsible for producing high-quality, timely, and accurate financial and management information that will enhance decision-making and provide insights into business performance. This role also involves supporting all aspects of financial reporting, including payroll and ad hoc projects, to ensure a business-focused and collaborative finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production of timely and accurate management information for stakeholders.
  • Ensuring balance sheet controls and reconciliations are maintained accurately.
  • Conducting detailed variance analysis on key financial metrics.
  • Providing analytical reviews and concise commentary at the company level.
  • Supporting ad hoc projects with the Financial Controller to strengthen the finance function.
  • Assisting in the preparation and analysis for statutory reporting and audits.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or qualified by experience (QBE).
  • Demonstrable experience at this level, preferably within a contract accounting environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to produce actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills for concise reporting and commentary.
