Trinity House Group are working with a high growth services business based in Leicester who are looking for a Management Accountant.

An exciting opportunity has risen for a management accountant to join an ever-growing finance team with their HQ based in Leicester. The role itself will be reporting directly into the Finance Controller who will also help to develop the right candidate as the business grows

Job Type: Full time Permanent

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per year (Part/Full Qualified ACCA/CIMA candidate)

  • Preparation, review and posting of journals.
  • Manage accruals, pre-payments and other month-end adjustments.
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register.
  • Monthly reconciliation of the General Ledger and sub-ledgers.
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP/IFRS.
  • Support the implementation of, and adherence to, internal controls in line with Group finance policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the annual audit process, providing information to external auditors as required.
  • Provide analysis and insight to support the understanding of business performance and enable effective decision making.

The Candidate

  • Part or newly CIMA/ACCA qualified with a minimum 5 years’ experience in similar roles.
  • Good understanding of UK GAAP/IFRS and experience of managing the month-end close process.
  • Strong excel skills and experience of a range of accounting software
  • Ability to work independently and to tight deadlines, understanding how to manage competing priorities.
  • Attention to detail and an ability to adapt and respond, demonstrating a deep understanding of the activities being undertaken
