I have a newly created contract Project Accounts Assistant opportunity offering to join a well-established, successful business, based in Leicestershire, who are experiencing further success and growth.
In this role you would be a new addition to the existing team of 12 with this finance function and report into the Finance Manager, and have the opportunity to join and support at an exciting time of continued growth and pending positive change.
About the Role:
The role is full time and hybrid and you will work within an open plan office within the busy finance team. In this newly created role you will support the Finance Manager and wider finance team with the completion of the year end account audit and pending additional required support due to the implementation of a new ERP system in early 2025. You will need to possess a broad range of transactional accounting experience and be flexible to support wherever required. Ideally you will also have experience of supporting with year- end account auditing. Due to the growth of this business and pending positive change, there may also be the opportunity to gain a permanent position within this accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts payable processes:- Maintaining supplier account details, matching, batching and coding of supplier invoices, supplier queries, bacs payments, month and year end closure processes and reporting on cashflow.
- Accounts receivable processes-raising customer invoices, queries and cash allocation.
- Banking and cash processes.
- Year-end accounting support.
- Year end audit support.
- Working within an ERP system and Excel.
Ideally you will have:
- Proven experience working within an accounting role completing a broad range of transactional accounting processes.
- Month and year end accounting experience.
- Year-end account auditing experience-desirable.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in using financial software to produce reports and manage ledger accounts.
- Proficiency in an accounting software is preferred.
- Confident with Microsoft Excel to an intermediate level.
