RECfinancial are recruiting exclusively for a Leicester based employer, who are keen to recruit a Finance Assistant on a part-time permanent basis. Working Monday to Friday 30 hours per week,

Main role of Finance Assistant

Reporting into the Finance Manager the main Finance role will be to support and assist the business functions Finances working within the wider company network.

The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the Central Finance team, operating various finance packages and systems and undertaking a varied range of financial duties. Including; Purchase and Sales Invoice processing and some aspects of Credit Control.

Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant

  • General ledger duties including assigning entries to correct accounts
  • Bank / balance sheet reconciliations
  • Posting income receipts from bank statements and on-line payments system
  • Processing Journals (e.g. monthly cost recharges)
  • Dealing with supplier / budget holder telephone and email queries
  • Data cleansing roll checking off invoices.
  • Plus ad hoc Administration duties.

Skills and experience:

  • Experience in a similar role is ideal
  • Willingness to learn
  • Good attention to detail
  • Self-disciplined, with good time management skills and the ability to manage and prioritise various tasks.
  • Team player, supportive of departmental colleagues
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel, Google sheets or similar systems
