Macildowie are working with a large organisation based in Leicester who are looking to grow their dynamic and successful finance team, currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant.

Our client is searching for a passionate and driven finance professional who is searching for an Assistant Accountant position to enhance and develop their finance career.

This position is a key role within the finance function, supporting both internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Production of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting on adhoc projects as required by the team/department: including supporting on new system implementations, process revisions, collaborating with 3rd party stakeholders on their accounts
  • Supporting on the accurate raising and issuing of invoices
  • Working on VAT controls throughout the department
  • Data reconciliation

The ideal candidate will be/have:

  • Highly motivated, with the tenacity to jump into new and dynamic projects
  • Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA, or studying towards (ideal but not essential)
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to review & analyse data accurately
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Calm under pressure with ability to manage a wide spectrum of stakeholders ,
  • including senior management

This position will be based in the office 5 days per week, at a very modern and impressive site.
