Macildowie are working exclusively with a well-established business based in Leicester City Centre, looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on problem-solving and enjoys implementing process improvements.
Working closely with the newly appointed Financial Controller, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and bringing order to a messy AP function. If you have experience with Sage 50 and a proactive approach to driving change, this could be the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities- Processing supplier invoices, matching to purchase orders, and ensuring accurate coding
- Managing supplier reconciliations and resolving any queries efficiently
- Assisting with payment runs and ensuring suppliers are paid on time
- Implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency in AP workflows
- Supporting the Financial Controller in tidying up historical issues and establishing best practices
- Collaborating with other departments to streamline invoice approvals
