Part-Qualified Assistant Accountant - Leicestershire - Permanent - up to £35k DOE

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a proactive part-qualified accountant to join a dynamic finance team at a rapidly growing company. You will provide essential financial support to key stakeholders across the business, focusing on external stakeholders. This is an ideal role for someone with a couple of years' experience in their studies and industry, who is eager to gain exposure to business partnering and working with external clients.

Some Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee customer payments for both retail stores and online platforms
  • Provide insightful financial analysis to support business decision
  • Take ownership of reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Use advanced Excel models and SQL to provide ad-hoc analysis and monitor financial performance metrics (e.g., cash flow, accept rates)

Skills & Experience:

  • Part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with approximately 2-3 years of experience in industry and role-specific studies
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work
  • Proficient Excel skills; advanced knowledge of Excel models is essential
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively
  • Experience with SQL is a plus.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of data efficiently and accurately

Work Environment:

  • 4 days per week in the office, with 5 days in the office during month-end
  • A collaborative and business-facing role, where you'll be interacting with external clients and various internal stakeholders
  • This business provides full study support for ACCA/CIMA/ACA
