Macildowie Finance are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a large, growing company based at their Leicestershire head office.

This is an ideal role for someone who is at the latter stage of their studies and has a few years' experience industry, who is eager to gain exposure to business partnering and working with external clients.

To be successful in this role, you will need a mixture of solid financial /management accounting skills, coupled with financial analysis to maintain core financial controls and support key stakeholders across the business; and be happy to be part of a fast-moving, fluid, ever-changing environment.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Ownership of international tender reconciliations and providing close insight and management of cashflow
  • Daily reconciliation of international payments received to ensure discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner
  • Provide daily / weekly reporting around key cash KPIs to support cross-functional teams to address any issues and support key business decisions
  • Follow a proactive approach to engage with Internal and External Stakeholders to bring issues to resolution

The ideal candidate will be/have:

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA Finalist with proven experience/key desire to work and develop in a large fast-paced company
  • Exceptional Excel skills, with SQL experience as an additional bonus
  • Proven ability to plan and prioritise workloads whilst working to strict deadlines
  • Can effectively communicate and collaborate both orally and in writing and have the ability to influence and constructively challenge
