GI Pro are working in partnership with an Aerospace company, based in Thurmaston, who are one of the world's largest manufacturer of Airplane Components for the Aerospace sector.

Our client is looking for enthusiastic and motivated Machine Operator with CNC background to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and set up Wickman multi-spindle machines and/or CNC machines.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Perform machine adjustments, tooling changes, and setups as needed.
  • Monitor the machining process to ensure parts meet quality standards.
  • Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting of machines.
  • Measure and inspect finished parts using callipers, micrometres, and gauges.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Wickman multi-spindle lathes and/or CNC machining.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with machine programming (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
  • Willingness to work shifts and overtime when required
