START TIMES FROM 21:00 to 22:00
FINISH TIMES FROM 07:00 to 08:00
PAY RATE: £17.00 PER HOUR
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Container Driver to join our well-established client based in LEICESTER, EAST MIDLANDS.

Rates of Pay:
- Basic: £17.00 per hour
Day to Day Duties
Your duties as a Class 1 Container Driver will involve but not be limited to:
- Operating and driving various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
- Transporting containers
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
- Driving Skeletal Trailer
- Must be familiar with containers and container locking
- Complete any paperwork
- Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Essential Skills
As a Class 1 Container Driver you will need to:
- Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
- Hold a valid RHIDES port access card
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
- Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
- Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
- Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
- Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience
- Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
Training
- Driving assessment must be completed
