Client Details

As a Business Development Manager for Retail Fitout, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding the client base within the retail sector. You will focus on developing and nurturing relationships with retail businesses, architects, interior designers, and project managers to secure high-value fitout contracts. Your role will involve identifying new business opportunities, managing client accounts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects that meet client expectations.

Description

  • Business Development & Sales Strategy:

    • Identify and target potential clients in the retail sector for fitout projects, including retail chains, boutiques, and franchise operators.
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets and business growth objectives.
    • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline by researching market trends, attending industry events, and networking with key decision-makers.
  • Client Relationship Management:

    • Cultivate strong relationships with existing and prospective clients by understanding their business needs and providing tailored fitout solutions.
    • Deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that align with client requirements and company capabilities.
    • Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring exceptional customer service and timely communication.
  • Project Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the design, project management, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
    • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards.
    • Conduct post-project reviews with clients to gather feedback and identify opportunities for future improvements and repeat business.
  • Market & Competitor Analysis:

    • Stay informed about the latest industry trends, innovations, and competitor activities in the retail fitout market.
    • Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on market developments, client feedback, and potential business opportunities.
  • Negotiation & Contract Management:

    • Negotiate contracts and terms with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements that protect the interests of the company.
    • Oversee the legal and contractual aspects of each project, working in conjunction with the legal and finance teams to manage risks.

Profile

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the retail fitout, Retail Fixtures, and construction industry
  • Strong understanding of retail environments, including branding, store design, and customer experience.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build long-term relationships and maintain a network of industry contacts.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Results-driven mindset, with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Knowledge of the construction and design processes for fitout projects is highly desirable.
