DC Personnel are recruiting for a CNC Machinist to join an established company based in Desford, Leicester LE9. A great opportunity to join a company who are experiencing a sustained period of growth.Permanent full timeHours:7:30 - 16:30 Monday- Thursday and 7:30 - 12:30 Friday39 hours paid weeklyPay:£12.50-15/hr (D.O.E)As a CNC machinist, you will be responsible for programming, setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high quality parts and components. As a Machine Operator you will:• Have a background in engineering (ideal)• Operating 3 Axis Manual Milling machines and 4 Axis CNC• To program, set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts and components• Inspect parts and components to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.• Use of various hand tools and sheet metal machinery in the fabrication and finishing of materials (training will be provided).• Executing works orders to the required specified quality, accuracy and defined output rate.• Physical lifting required due to the nature of the product.• Quality Assurance of components and finished goods by inspection of own work and others. • Maintain working area to a high level of housekeeping.Knowledge & Skills:• Previous machinist experience • Engineering Level 2 and understanding of CAD is preferable.• Read and interpret technical drawings, use appropriate cutting tools, fixtures and gauges for each job • Workshop and production health & safety practices.Personal skills• Good time keeping• Good house keeping• Reliable team player• Able to multi-task• Ability to learn and develop new skills• Has a ‘can do’ approach• Accurate and with a good attention to detail• Ability to respond to short lead times requiring a flexible approach.How to apply?Click 'Apply' now to send through your application.
