Our client is a well-established and thriving business, part of a large international organisation, manufacturing specialist products for a wide variety of industries.

Due to extensive growth they are currently seeking a fabrication technician to work in various departments of the business.

The main purpose of the roles is to assist the coating department by using specialist equipment to meet on-time-delivery requirements & yield expectations.

You will work within a small team operating CNC machinery including 3 axis CNC Milling, high speed spindle polishers, single point diamond turning machines and twin lap polishing machines to manufacture a wide range of precision optics.

You will be involved in continuous process improvements participating as a team member or under the direct instruction from you team leader or manager and be able to consistently demonstrate high levels of efficiency and quality in your output whilst ensuring scrap and rework is kept to a minimum.

Requirements

  • A good understanding of manufacturing operations within an engineering or technical environment
  • Experience in CNC fabrication, milling, turning experience would be preferred
  • Good eye for detail and able to work to high standards
  • Ability to work on own initiative and possess good communication skills
