- Assemble, test, service and rectify a variety of electrical control panels and associated automation equipment as Lead panel builder
- Determine and maintain efficient work procedures and techniques as a lead panel builder
- Communicate and adopt safe systems of work (RAMS) and observe the requirements of any Permit to Work issued by site Duty Holders
- Engage in the determination of work rotas and assignment of tasks as a Lead panel builder
- Assess tasks for completeness and report any issues or variations
- Complete control panel test reports and job documentation
- Ensure all tools and equipment in use are certified and/or calibrated
- Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, subcontractors and other third parties
- Undertake specialist training as required and keep up to date with statutory and legislative requirements
You will need
- +5 years experience of industrial control panel assembly or as a Lead panel builder
- A comprehensive toolkit for completing assembly of control panels
- Experience of working on own initiative
- Excellent interpersonal, IT and communication skills
- To be a team player and customer focused as a lead panel builder
Qualifications and Licences
- NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Services - Panel Wiring / Panel Builder or Mechanical Manufacture Engineering (fitting and assembly) or equivalent Approved Apprenticeship in Panel Wiring /Panel Building (Required)
- ECS Gold Card - Wireman/Panel Builder (Desirable)
- FLT/Counterbalance Truck Licence (Desirable)
- SSSTS (Desirable)
