Post Completion Conveyancing Legal Assistant

My client is a leading property law firm based in Leicester that specialises in residential property transactions. It is seeking a Post Completion Legal Assistant to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in property law to play a key role in ensuring seamless post-completion processes at a firm where real progression is on offer. 

The Role

  • Manage the post-completion stage of conveyancing transactions, including the submission of Land Registry applications and SDLT returns
  • Monitor and resolve any requisitions from the Land Registry and liaise with solicitors, lenders and clients to ensure a smooth process
  • Prepare, submit and track all required legal documentation for completed property transactions
  • Ensure that all files are archived properly and that case management systems are kept up to date
  • Provide regular updates to clients on the status of registrations and address post-completion inquiries promptly
  • Assist the property law team in managing a high volume of transactions, ensuring key deadlines are met
  • Perform administrative duties, such as file management, data entry and liaising with external parties

You

  • You will Ideally have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within a law firm, with a focus on property law and post-completion processes
  • You will have strong understanding of the Land Registry and SDLT requirements
  • You will have familiarity with conveyancing procedures
  • You will have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • You will have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • You will be proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
