Job Title:Data Services Manager
Location:East Midlands (Hybrid - 50% Remote)

Our client, a leading financial services organisation based in the East Midlands, is expanding its Data Team and is seeking an experienced Data Services Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to lead a dynamic team and drive the development and maintenance of robust data systems and services.


Job Purpose:
As the Data Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of data professionals to design, develop, and maintain data systems and services. This role requires a strong foundation in data governance, technical expertise, leadership abilities, and project management experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and embed the organisation's Data Governance Strategy, along with associated policies and standards.
  • Lead and mentor a team of data professionals to deliver high-quality data solutions on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritise tasks, and ensure successful project execution.
  • Manage the entire data services lifecycle, from design and development to testing and deployment.
  • Ensure the implementation of data standards, best practices, and security measures across all projects.
  • Maintain and update documentation of design processes using core data principles.
  • Oversee the development and support of the Enterprise Data Warehouse and other internal data services.
  • Regularly test and maintain controls in line with the organisation's risk appetite and governance frameworks.
  • Manage data quality control and apply corrective measures as necessary.

  • Experience with MS SQL Server (2017), Visual Studio, MS 365, .Net, .Net 5, C#, WPF, ASP.Net, REST.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies such as Azure, MS Dynamics, Synapse, and experience with data warehousing.
  • Familiarity with Snaplogic, ADF, or other middleware tools is advantageous.
