Job Purpose:
As the Data Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of data professionals to design, develop, and maintain data systems and services. This role requires a strong foundation in data governance, technical expertise, leadership abilities, and project management experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and embed the organisation's Data Governance Strategy, along with associated policies and standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of data professionals to deliver high-quality data solutions on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritise tasks, and ensure successful project execution.
- Manage the entire data services lifecycle, from design and development to testing and deployment.
- Ensure the implementation of data standards, best practices, and security measures across all projects.
- Maintain and update documentation of design processes using core data principles.
- Oversee the development and support of the Enterprise Data Warehouse and other internal data services.
- Regularly test and maintain controls in line with the organisation's risk appetite and governance frameworks.
- Manage data quality control and apply corrective measures as necessary.

- Proven experience in Data Governance and Line Management.
- At least 2 years of experience as a DBA and Data Developer within the MS Stack.
- Strong technical skills in TSQL, SSIS, SSRS, SPROC, and Function development.
- Experience with MS SQL Server (2017), Visual Studio, MS 365, .Net, .Net 5, C#, WPF, ASP.Net, REST.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies such as Azure, MS Dynamics, Synapse, and experience with data warehousing.
- Familiarity with Snaplogic, ADF, or other middleware tools is advantageous.
