Temporary Environmental Health Officer
Leicester South (Hybrid - Ideally 3 days a week in the office and 1-2 days remote)
Contract Duration: Until March 2025
£20.00 - £25.00 per hour DOE

The Professional Services Team at SF Recruitment is currently seeking a Temporary Environmental Health Officer.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team committed to ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the public. As an EHO, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing public health policies, inspecting sites, advising the public, and taking enforcement action when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
Housing: Ensuring housing standards comply with health and safety regulations.
Nuisance: Addressing issues such as noise, waste, and other environmental nuisances.
Caravan Site Licencing: Managing the licencing of caravan sites to ensure they meet legal and safety standards.
Planning Application Consultation Requests: Reviewing and advising on planning applications from an environmental health perspective.

This role is ideal for an EHO with a passion for public health, who is confident working both autonomously and collaboratively with colleagues to provide guidance and support. Management experience is not required, but the ability to contribute to a positive team dynamic is essential.

Key Requirements:
- Proven experience and knowledge in the areas listed above.
- A valid Enhanced DBS for Adult Workforce certificate.
- Ability to start immediately.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to mentor and assist colleagues.
