Finance Analyst - Cash AccountingSalary: £51,600Location: Leicester (4 days per week in office)

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing finance team responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of customer payments. The team manages billions in transactions annually and requires a dedicated analyst to provide insights, automate reporting, and support strategic decision-making.

The successful candidate will play a key role in extracting and analyzing data from the cloud, identifying trends, and delivering actionable insights to improve payment processes. This role is highly analytical, focusing on efficiency, profitability, and operational improvements.

Key ResponsibilitiesData Handling & Automation
  • Access, extract, and analyze large datasets using SQL and Databricks.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of financial data.
  • Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency.
Payment Optimization & Analysis
  • Monitor and analyze payment trends across different platforms and regions.
  • Evaluate and optimize payment methods to improve profitability.
  • Support the review and implementation of new payment solutions.
  • Conduct detailed trend analysis to identify areas for improvement.
Reporting & Forecasting
  • Review and analyze core financial data, including payment fee analysis.
  • Support accurate financial forecasting based on payment trends.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting to support finance team decisions.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Strong experience with SQL for data extraction and analysis.
  • Experience using Databricks or other cloud-based data platforms.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools to present insights clearly.
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets and deliver meaningful insights.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset.
