Accounts Payable Team Leader

Macildowie are delighted to be working with a leading organisation based in Leicester to recruit a Finance Team Leader. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering hybrid working and a salary of up to £40,000 depending on experience.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for leading a team of seven finance assistants, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of supplier payments. You'll be the key escalation point for payment queries and play a pivotal role in improving processes across the finance function.

• Line management of a team of seven finance assistants.
• Ensuring accurate and timely processing of purchase ledger payments, expense payments, and foster carer payments.
• Driving process improvements, including the rollout of automated invoice capture and electronic workflows.
• Training and providing ongoing support for SAP Concur users.
• Supporting the integration of new business acquisitions and aligning financial processes.
• Identifying areas for efficiency improvements and working closely with the Finance Manager to implement change.

• Experience leading and managing a finance or transactional team.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical mindset, seeking process-driven solutions.
• Excellent customer service skills with experience handling queries and disputes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with both internal teams and suppliers.
• Experience in finance functions is essential, with SAP Concur experience being a plus.
