Finance Manager – North Leicestershire – £40,000 - £45,000 Flexible and Hybrid Working
I am working with a growing, family-run business in North Leicestershire to recruit a Finance Manager. This is a standalone role, offering full ownership of the finance function within a supportive and flexible working environment.The business is well-established, with a turnover approaching £3 million, and continues to grow steadily. They offer a rare combination of long-term stability, autonomy, and genuine work-life balance — ideal for someone seeking a hands-on role within a friendly, down-to-earth team.
The Role:Reporting directly to the senior managers, you’ll be responsible for managing all day-to-day financial operations, including:
- Purchase & sales invoicing
- VAT & CIS returns
- Payroll processing
- Credit control & reconciliations
- Management reporting
- Working with Sage Cloud Accounting software
- Data analysis & reporting
This is a role for someone who enjoys taking full ownership — planning their own workload and working closely with the directors to support the business.
About You:We’re looking for someone with:
- At least two years’ experience in a standalone / number one SME finance role
- Strong Excel skills — able to perform VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs and use Pivot Tables
- Preferably ACCA, CIMA or AAT Level 4 qualified
- Strong management accounting and transactional finance skills
- End-to-end weekly and monthly payroll experience
- Experience using Sage (or similar) accounting software
