A Contracts Specialist with experience of managing Service contracts is needed by an Engineering company in the Leicester area to cover a 9 month maternity leave You will be supporting a busy service and commercial team to ensure service contracts are handled appropriately. Your key responsibilities will be: -

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of our product portfolio and collaborate with key teams to ensure alignment with Customer requirements, Pricing strategy, and Terms & Conditions for service offerings.
  • Owning the Handover process for Service Contracts, from Inquiry To Order to Remittance, which involves reviewing contracts and proposals, entering orders in SAP, and managing various related activities like billing, revenue recognition plans, and database updates.
  • Building and nurturing strong customer relationships, ensuring efficient and effective contract management processes, addressing customer concerns promptly, and enhancing overall satisfaction levels.Collaborating closely with different departments to guarantee timely and accurate services are rendered to customers according to contract terms.
  • Optimizing revenue recognition and billing milestones and overseeing contract margins to ensure profitability, increasing renewal rates and closely monitoring costs to identify appropriate savings
  • Upholding meticulous records of contract-related information
  • Championing a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and addressing technical and commercial risks, implementing best practices, and providing valuable recommendations for service, engineering, and product management teams to excel in executing service contracts effectively.
  • Ensuring positive cash flow within contracts by promptly addressing and resolving any invoice disputes and effectively facilitating on-time payments from customers.

The successful candidate will ideally be Degree / HND or HNC qualified and ideally have 3 years experience of managing service contracts in an engineering environment. You will need to be able to travel to customer sites on occasion and have a high level of familiarity with MS Office products and ERP / MRP systems with SAP an advantage.
