Care Paralegal – Leicester

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a national, Legal 500 law firm in Leicester. You will be joining a people-focused and progressive business that values work-life balance and career progression in equal measures. 

Working within the Care team, you will assist with a variety of matters including adoption & fostering, child arrangement orders, child protection investigations and private family matters.

As a Paralegal in the Care team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide administrative support, including case management tasks such as setting up files, conducting full conflict checks
  • Coordinating with counsel & experts, obtaining cost quotes, timeframes and managing disbursements
  • You will assist Fee Earners by completing and serving C2 applications, requisitioning cheques and handling court fee payments
  • Overseeing DNA and drug and alcohol testing, including setup, monitoring and payments
  • Support Solicitors with trial preparation, particularly bundle preparation and ensure proper file closure and attend court
  • Serve as the administrator for the LAA online service, acting as the primary point of contact for all Local Authority and fee earner queries
