Rail Trackside Asset Manager - Leicester

Working for a Client within the Rail sector, inspecting and managing their Electrification portfolio across the East Midlands region.

Location: - Leicester

Salary: - 55,000 - 60,000 basic + Package

Hybrid role, working Days, 3 days a week in the office, Monday to Friday based out of the Leicester office.

Role:

The Resolute Group have been retained to identify an Electrification Asset Manager to oversee the day-to-day maintenance of the Rail network. Looking at everything from the Power source, Signalling, Points Heating, Power delivery to the track infrastructure.

Leading and supporting the Electrification teams that will be working 24/7 to keep the Rail network maintained and operational. Your role is both Management of the teams underneath you as well as Identifying and implementing safety and asset performance measures, looking at reliability, productivity and efficiency improvement initiatives.

  • Day-to-day duties will change but could include:
  • Manage the inspection and maintenance of assets to standards.
  • Involved with managing the Asset Maintenance budgets and costings.
  • Manage the prioritisation of work and delivery to plan.
  • Check that safety, assurance, compliance, performance and business processes are followed.
  • Identify and submit non-compliances for approval and take appropriate action where required.
  • Manage the process to hand over and accept back assets being renewed, installed, or modified by projects.
  • Restore to normal operation after completion of testing/investigation, equipment that has failed, been subject to an allegation or has been renewed as part of a maintenance delivered renewal programme.
  • Undertake investigations and report on accidents/incidents.

Working closely with Network Rails Project team, when incidents are reported as damaged or of critical importance to keep the rail network operating this is pass over for the projects team to repair. Working on a hybrid working pattern you need to be in the office at least 3 days a week, with direct management of a small team of supervisors who in term manage the technicians going out on shift.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience with Rail infrastructure ideally Electrification / Signalling / E&P / D&P or similar trackside infrastructure.
  • Electrical qualifications (Apprenticed / HNC / HND) as this role you work up from being a hands-on Engineer, understanding how the Rail network operates, and going on Network Rail courses to gain accreditations to have technical capability.
