A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a highly reputable fashion business as a Soft Wovens Designer across womenswear. You will be responsible for creating innovative designs for various key customers, designing and developing product from concept to final design.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Design and develop soft woven product with a focus on blouses and dresses for high street retailers.
  • Research and interpret market trends, fabric innovations, and colour palettes to create trend-led and commercially viable designs.
  • Produce detailed tech packs including sketches, fabric selection, trims, and specifications for garment production.
  • Work alongside the sales team to present collections and incorporate client feedback into final designs.
  • Oversee the sampling process, ensuring timely delivery and quality control of pre-production samples.
  • Stay up-to-date with key fashion events, trade shows, and competitor analysis to maintain awareness of market trends and retail performance.

Person specification:

  • Previous experience designing soft woven womenswear for high street retailers, ideally focusing on blouses and dresses.
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating fashion-forward, on-trend designs.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD.
  • Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Knowledge of fabric sourcing and sustainability trends is a plus.
  • A team player with a proactive and positive approach!
