We are currently working in partnership with a well-respected education provider, based in Leicestershire, who are recruiting for a HR Advisor on a permanent basis. The salary for the role is £34,000 -£38,000 per annum (or reduced term time working would be considered).

The ideal candidate will require access to their own vehicle. An enhanced DBS will also need to be completed for this role on the successful candidate.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing advice and guidance on HR matters including general queries T&Cs, payroll, absence management, disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance
  • Providing advice and guidance on HR matters including general queries, terms and conditions of employment, payroll, absence management, disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance
  • Supporting investigating officers and panels as required
  • Monitoring absence levels and ensuring early intervention to reduce staff absence across the Trust
  • Ensure that all HR policies are applied consistently across the Trust and coaching line managers to support their development in dealing with ER matters
  • Supporting the HR Business Partner to deliver HR projects including The People Strategy
  • Supporting the Payroll & HR Assistant to ensure all new starters have undergone relevant pre-employment checks in line with safer recruitment practices
  • Supporting the Payroll & HR Assistant to advertise vacancies across the Trust
  • Updating and developing job descriptions/person specifications
  • Gathering, monitoring and analysing HR metrics, providing reports when requested. To include data extraction from HRIS, ETeach, internal surveys and external surveys
  • Supporting with internal and external audits and ONS requests as required
  • Supporting the implementation of the HRIS, data checking, planning and roll out of modules and providing training and guidance for staff across the Trust

Expertise required:

  • Ideally be CIPD level 5 qualified, or significant operational equivalent experience
  • Experience working in employee relations and HRIS system knowledge
  • Ideally have experience in the education/public sector (but not essential)

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, 8:00-4:00pm (flexible hours with 9am start if required)
