Required to support the directors is a standalone HR Officer that can work with the business in largely an administrative capacity whilst being proactive in maintaining the company’s compliance with legislation as it evolves and it’s implementation.This position suits a HR Advisor / Administrator seeking a role that brings with it autonomy and responsibility in working with an owner managed business.The RoleReporting to the Finance Director with a close dotted line into the Managing Director, the HR Officer is positioned as an integral part of the operations team. Required is somebody for a generalist, hands on and operational role supporting the more immediate needs of the business in the provision for guidance and expertise in people & process management with occasional ER support.Key to understand with this role is that it’s admin heavy but little recruitment. A steady ship is what this business can boast but you will support administratively in onboarding new employees where required ensuring inductions are done and the compliance boxes are ticked whilst taking accountability for the employee life cycle overall, ensuring things like absence, performance and well-being is managed effectivelyAdditionally, you’ll be responsible for processing weekly payroll data, ensuring full accuracy of info is exported from the T&A system and delivered on time to the payroll bureau.From a HR generalist perspective, you’ll be partnering with the wider business ensuring compliance, policy and procedure is always adhered to across each dept, keeping the company abreast with employment law updates and reacting accordingly.Systems wise, this business is keen to improve the tech they use and would be looking for you to be part of new system implementation projects.The CandidateYou’ll be already operating at some degree in an Advisory capacity in a Generalist role. This is a manufacturing business and although blue collar experience isn’t essential, you’ll need to be well versed in leading on basic disciplinaries and grievances. You will have back up for the more complex stuff if required. You’ll be confident in not only your ability to work with people at all levels, but also your attention to detail in reporting, administration, procedure adherence and data management (especially employee and payroll data)Finally, we’d like you to have already made some headway into your CIPD, Level 3 being the bare minimum.The BenefitsSalary guide c£35k pro rata, some flexibility around working hours. 28 days holiday inclusive + paid time off for Xmas shut down.
