Technical Accounts Manager

Our client is a well-established and reputable accountancy practice with a strong presence in the industry, providing first-class compliance and advisory services to a diverse range of businesses and personal tax clients. They are seeking an experienced and motivated individual with extensive knowledge in accountancy to join their Accounting and Assurance Department.

Technical Accounts Manager Job Overview

• Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, primarily medium-sized entities in accordance with FRS 102, as well as small companies under FRS 102 s1A, using IRIS Accounts Production.
• Working closely with the audit team from planning to completion and advising on technical aspects of accounts.
• Preparing consolidated financial statements under FRS 102 using IRIS Accounts Production.
• Preparing corporation tax computations and returns using IRIS Business Tax and Alphatax.
• Preparing self-assessment tax returns using IRIS Personal Tax.
• Preparing management accounts and assisting with charity accounts.
• Reviewing financial statements (FRS 102, FRS 102 s1A, and FRS 105) prepared by colleagues to ensure compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Researching complex technical queries, offering solutions, and assisting with implementation.

• Extensive experience handling compliance and advisory matters across various business sizes and sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, including consolidations and cash flow statements.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to discuss technical matters with clients and colleagues.
• Experience using accounting software such as Sage 50, Xero, SAP, and other industry tools.
• Strong people skills, with the ability to mentor and support colleagues.

• Salary: 47,000- 57,000 but flexible based on experience.
• Working hours: 38.5 hours a week
• Hybrid working (up to 2 remote days per week, subject to workload and team availability).
