We are seeking a property help Desk Operator to act as the first point of contact for schools, academies, and client departments for all property-related matters. This role involves resolving a wide range of complex issues relating to facilities within buildings and requires a proactive approach to customer service and problem-solving.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Develop a broad understanding of all County Council departments and their services to resolve a wide range of information provision enquiries.
  • Take direct ownership and responsibility for resolving customer queries at the first point of contact.
  • Accurately capture and input data obtained from customers, ensuring the information is entered accurately into the Property Management System.
  • Identify potential complaints and deal with them proactively by following the appropriate customer service centre and corporate procedures, and through own initiative.
  • Manage department frameworks for contractors effectively and raise orders in accordance with these frameworks.
  • Liaise and work with technical teams within the department.
  • Ensure completion of repairs carried out by contractors.
  • Verify that prices charged by contractors are in accordance with agreed rates and order values.
  • Monitor budgets for repairs and maintenance effectively.
  • Assist with the safe evacuation procedures of County Hall.
  • Undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in managing contractor frameworks and understanding of maintenance budgets.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
