Working for this leading services organisation you will be based on site at the Leicester General Hospital. You will be responsible for the day to day management of stock/consumables based on site. The ideal candidate will have clinical experience or experience working with stock control and consumables. The role could suit a registered nurse or clinical professional looking for a change of career.

The suitable candidate will have excellent communication skills as this role will be liaising with doctors and must be a very self sufficient individual able to work using their own initiative. There is also occasional travel to other midland sites

Hours

2-shift system Monday to Friday

  • 7am until 3 pm
  • 10am until 6pm

This will switch on a monthly basis when fully trained which takes around 12 weeks or 3 months, your shifts are then likely to be 10-6pm.

The key responsibilities will be the following:

  • Day to day management of consumables on site
  • Source non-stock products as required by the location
  • Add or Supplier Account detail
  • Add or amend product details on computer system.
  • Set up inventory parameters to enable requisitions or direct ordering.
  • Manage automatic and manual orders including non-stock
  • Manage requisitions including non stock, raise and enter Purchase orders.
  • Stock transfers e.g. adhoc issues on a sale or return basis
  • Expedite orders with suppliers
  • Expense items i.e. order then expense, as stock help on different floors with no scanning facility
  • Accept delivery, decant and manage reversals including management of over/under deliveries and damages
  • Manage receipt of products for trials, loan equipment etc after Consumables Group approval
  • Manage quarantine of product/product recalls/shelf life expiry/loss management and physical returns
  • Undertake cyclical and annual stock takes/reconciliation
