Town Planner or Senior Town Planner
Location: Leicester

The Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Town Planner or Senior Town Planner to join a Town Planning Consultancy based in Leicester. In this role, you'll work on a variety of exciting projects, from residential developments and commercial ventures to heritage conservation and strategic master planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and submitting planning applications, appeals, and reports
  • Liaising with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders
  • Conducting site appraisals and feasibility studies
  • Preparing planning policy and development strategies
  • Providing expert advice on heritage, conservation, and environmental considerations
  • Representing clients at public consultations, hearings, and planning committees

About You:

  • A relevant degree in Town Planning or a related field
  • Chartered membership of the RTPI (or working towards chartership)
  • Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and processes
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and clients
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational abilities
  • Senior applicants should have a proven track record of handling complex planning applications and appeals
