Supplier Quality Engineer overview -
Liaise with various key suppliers and internal operations teams, to successfully resolve issues, and encourage quality, productivity improvements, and drive cost reductions.
Supplier Quality Engineer responsibilities include -
- Review suppliers, ensuring capabilities are aligned with quality, cost, and delivery targets,
- Analyse performance data and document information.
- Use performance data to perform current and new supplier audits.
- Create reports on findings and implement the required action plans to improve processes.
- Implement quality tools and techniques, ensuring the business reaches its annual objectives.
Supplier Quality Engineer desirable skills and experience -
- knowledge of modern manufacturing methods and techniques.
- Knowledge of QMS such as ISO 9001, AS 9100, or IATF 16949.
- Mechanical engineering education (HNC/HNC), or relevant training.
