We are recruiting for a Fulfilment Manager to join a globally established fashion brand that specialise in footwear and accessories on a 6 month FTC that will most likely go permanent. This is a great opportunity for a Supervisor or Shift Manager to step up into more of a senior management role. Job Purpose The Fulfilment Manager will be responsible for leading the physical operations in both the Retail and International areas to ensure stock is made available to the business in a timely manner and that demand for this stock is fulfilled within the required timelines. You will manage a team of 4 Warehouse Supervisors who oversee the DC operatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the overall flow of stock through both Retail and International areas.
  • Lead the team of 4 Warehouse Supervisors, ensuring that they are targeted and developed as necessary.
  • Implement processes and ways of working such that synergies can be leveraged across all DC departments and silo working is removed.
  • Managing required headcount, with the provision of additional resource as required (outsourcing to recruitment agencies where necessary).
  • Controlling the following DC functions to ensure that all KPI’s and SLA’s are met - inbound / stock receipt / pick / pack / despatch (in conjunction with the Transport & Administration Manager).
  • Ensuring that stock integrity is always maintained to the highest level.
  • Maintaining the required Health and Safety standards within the operation.
  • Deliver a process of continuous improvement by leading and driving change to increase site efficiencies and deliver best service to the business.
  • Maintain clear productivity records to both monitor KPIs and help drive improvements.
  • Ensure all physical DC operations are undertaken in line with audited processes to ensure compliance with HMRC and AEO regulations, as well as in line with the conditions of the DC customs bond.
  • Manage costs and expenditure within agreed budgets and take full accountability for operational costs associated with the physical operations (reporting as necessary on any variances to expected costs / budget).
  • Present outbound shipments in line with specified customer requirements (across Retail, Franchise and Wholesale customers)
  • Support other DC areas (e.g. QC and Website) as required.

Experience RequiredEssential:

  • Extensive experience of operating in a Retail DC environment.
  • Experience of working with both UK and overseas customers, as well as an understanding of the specific DC challenges associated with Wholesale.
  • Demonstrable ability to develop teams and individuals to maximise their full potential.
  • Be able to make strong clear decisions and communicate them effectively
  • Proven track record in developing operational efficiencies and process improvements within a DC environment.
  • Inventory management and storage optimisation
  • Be detail focused, proactive, self-motivated and adaptable to change
  • Have excellent problem solving and leadership skills

Desirable:

  • Experience of working with Island Pacific or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience of working in a customs bonded warehouse environment.
  • Lean/Six sigma qualification
  • IOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification

Additional Requirements:

  • Hours of work are generally 08:00 to 16:00 Mon-Fri (however this will need to be a flexible approach and you may be required to work between the hours of 05:00 to 23:00
  • Occasional visits to London Head Office may also be required
