They are a rapidly expanding distribution business, delivering directly to consumers, and they're on the lookout for a Head of Operations to lead their team to new heights.
About the Role: Reporting directly to the Managing Director, your mission will be to streamline their business processes and maintain their high standards of quality and service as they continue to grow. This role is designed with a future promotion to director level in mind, making it an Operations Director Designate position.
Operations Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee three main business functions, with three managers reporting directly to you and a team of 35+ staff.
- Streamline operations across their sites in three other countries to match the standards of the UK site.
- Plan and utilise resources efficiently to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Monitor and control KPIs to meet business, financial, and service targets.
- Train, motivate, and lead your teams, identifying strengths and areas for development.
- Ensure operational processes are efficient and ready for growth.
- Maximise productivity and profitability of direct labour resources.
- Produce operational reports to support new systems, processes, and procedures.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with Quality and Health & Safety standards.
About You: The ideal Head of Operations will have experience in a complex supply chain environment, preferably within B2C distribution, though B2B experience is also valuable. You should be commercially savvy, highly analytical, and detail-oriented.
