Supply Quality EngineerLocation: Leicester, UKWorking 39 hours per week Monday - Friday

Job Summary

We are looking for a Supply Quality Engineer to join our team in Leicester. In this role, you will support our supply chain operations and supplier network by enhancing overall supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and cost. You will work closely with buyers and the European Supplier Quality & Development (SQ&D) team, reporting directly to the SQ&D EMEAI Manager.

Key Responsibilities

This role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Implementing and maintaining standard work procedures and business processes at supplier locations.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and standardisation.
  • Evaluating supplier capabilities, capacity, and quality systems.
  • Addressing short-term performance issues using 8D/SCAR and rapid continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Applying Lean principles to improve business processes.
  • Leading Supplier Performance Improvement Plans (S-PIP).
  • Participating in weekly, monthly, and yearly SQ&D EMEAI meetings and projects.
  • Leading and participating in launch readiness programs.
  • Monitoring supplier quality and delivery performance.
  • Managing supplier selection, audits, and approvals.
  • Leading and participating in New Product Development (NPD) and supplier PPAP validation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
  • 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Quality, or a related field.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% (primarily within the UK, with some travel across Europe).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry-related certifications.
  • Supply chain experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Excellent time-management and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and other web-based applications.
