Simon Acres Recruitment are proud to be working with a forward-thinking and fast-growing company who are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their operation based in Leicestershire.

This opportunity is paying between £32,000 - £40,000.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8.00am to 4.30pm.

Responsible for 3 direct reports (Warehouse Supervisors & Stock Control Administrator) and 6-8 indirect reports (Warehouse Operatives). Managing the safe day-to-day operation of the 60,000sq ft warehouse facility. Taking responsibility and ownership of all inbound and outbound activities and associated staff. Ensuring agreed standards are met and exceeded with effective people and performance management.

The Role:

  • Taking ownership of maintaining high levels of housekeeping standards across the site.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety policies, processes, and procedures are always adhered to.
  • Drive processes procedural adherence and improvement.
  • Scheduling daily workload and allocation of staff across the site - including overtime approval, sign-off, and accountability.
  • Running daily morning briefings in conjunction with Warehouse Supervisors & Warehouse Administrator.
  • Ensuring all relevant iAuditor inspections are carried out to required standards (inbound, outbound & equipment).
  • Perpetual stock counts are processed accurately to agreed timelines.
  • Capturing and reporting KPI metrics.
  • Recruitment and training of warehouse team members as appropriate.
  • Conducting 1-1’s, performance reviews, organising training courses, and disciplinary/grievance procedures as required - along with all relevant paperwork.
  • Process and procedures documentation and maintenance.
  • Ensuring all equipment on site is suitably maintained and checked per schedule.
  • Managing site traffic, including inbound and outbound vehicles, including FLT onsite.
  • Site security - ensuring locking and opening procedures are followed and organised to accommodate shifts.
  • Helping to process and maintain internal ERP systems including recording stock movements, processing picks, etc.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Strong and proven experience as a Warehouse Manager.
  • People and performance management experience.
  • Proven experience in process & procedure improvements, and adherence.
  • Ability to lead teams by example from the front.
  • Hands-on - processing of heavy fragile goods.
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office and basic Excel) - WMS experience (beneficial).
  • Excellent communicator, who embraces positive change and is able to problem solve.
  • Attention to detail with a can-do attitude.
  • Must have a full UK driving licence. FLT licence - counterbalance (advantageous).
