We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Student Services Assistant to join our vibrant team. This role is crucial in providing a friendly and efficient service to our students, assisting them with a wide range of administrative and support tasks. The ideal candidate will be a key player in facilitating a supportive environment that enhances the student experience.
Day-to-day of the role:- Provide a welcoming reception service for students, directing them to appropriate sources of information and advice.
- Offer easy access to information on transport, financial support, and attendance matters.
- Provide information and advice on sources of financial support for students and assess eligibility through the application process.
- Assist in the administration of financial support payments.
- Help organise and administer key College promotional events such as Open Day and Welcome days.
- Support the organisation and administration of applications and interviews for prospective students.
- Assist with the administration and organisation of enrolment.
- Receive and record information about individual student absences, including transferring information from the voicemail service and inputting data on Promonitor related to absences.
- Provide support and guidance for student clubs and societies, the Student Ambassador scheme, and the Student Executive, including support for associated events and activities.
- Provide administrative assistance for the UCAS application process, including managing log-ons for staff and students and processing student references.
- Assist in the production of the student bulletin, the use of digital signage, and managing relevant social media accounts.
- Experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using office software and digital communication tools.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience in handling confidential information with discretion.
