£380 - £400 per day per hour (Outside IR35)

You will be responsible for the following:

A Steel Work Site Manager oversees the installation of structural steel on construction sites. They manage project schedules, ensure quality and safety standards, supervise workers, and safety satandards and coordinate with upervise workers, and coordinate with other teams. Key tasks include risk assessments, inspections, and maintaining site documentation. Required skills include leadership, problem-solving, and certifications.

 Responsibilities:

  • Oversee steel work installations on-site.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and construction standards.
  • Ensure that the works are undertaken in accordance with all H&S legislation, Policies, Procedures,
  • Take ownership of site-based H&S, RAMS and paperwork –H&S File.
  • Manage site activities, liaison with engineers and customers
  • Ensure that site inductions and daily safety briefings are carried out
  • Ensure that site security and appropriate safety notices are installed and maintained.
  • Ensure that public pedestrian routes are provided and maintained to NRSWA standards.
  • Ensure that suitable welfare facilities are in place and maintained in a clean condition
  • Provision of Fire Marshall and First Aid (FAW) cover.
  • Provide progress reports, site inspection reports.
  • Liaise with management and Engineering staff
  • Report any accidents, incidents, near misses or hazards in accordance with client procedures.

The candidate must possess the following skills to be considered for this role:

  • 5 years in a similar role
  • Degree or HNC in a Mechanical Field
  • SMSTS mandatory
  • CSCS Black Card
  • First Aid
  • RAMS
  • Appointed Person for Lifting Operations is beneficial
  • Dealing with contractors
  • Managed team of 10+ Contractors
