Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Locum Physiotherapist to join our team in Leicester on an Acute Winter Ward. This role offers a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospital setting, supporting patients with acute medical conditions during the busy winter period.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality physiotherapy assessments and treatments for patients on the acute winter ward.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure effective patient care and discharge planning.
  • Assist in the rehabilitation and recovery of patients with respiratory, musculoskeletal, and mobility issues.
  • Contribute to discharge planning, ensuring patients receive appropriate follow-up care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in line with NHS and HCPC standards.
  • Support junior staff and students where necessary.
Requirements:
  • HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.
  • Prior experience working as a Band 6 Physiotherapist in an acute hospital setting.
  • Experience in respiratory, medical, or elderly care physiotherapy is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
