ROBERT WALTERS - SENIOR POLICY AND FUNDING COORDINATOR - EAST MIDLANDS - £45,000 PER ANNUM

Our client is a leading training provider, committed to delivering impactful programmes that support individuals in building sustainable careers. They are currently seeking a Senior Policy and Funding Coordinator to navigate changes in funding landscapes, ensuring compliance and alignment with local government policies. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with directors, providing regular updates and assisting in strategic planning.

What you'll do:

  • Track and monitor funding policy changes within Combined Authorities and Local Authorities to identify new opportunities.
  • Analyse reports, board minutes, research papers, and other relevant documents from government entities.
  • Proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities within devolved funding landscapes.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with CAs, LAs, and relevant government bodies.
  • Research and identify funding opportunities aligned with the company's objectives.
  • Develop and coordinate applications for funding in collaboration with directors and programme teams.
  • Prepare regular reports and briefing documents for directors.
  • Provide administrative support to directors and internal teams.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Business or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in policy research, funding coordination or a related role within the public sector.
  • Strong understanding of the funding structures, priorities, and processes of Combined Authorities and Local Authorities.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting policy analysis.
  • Strong organisational skills with experience managing multiple projects and deadlines.
