Start Date: February 2025.Duration: Temporary, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate!
About the Role:As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored support to a Year 4 pupil with specific learning or developmental needs.
- Assist the child in accessing the curriculum and achieving their individual targets.
- Implement strategies to support emotional and academic development.
- Foster a positive and nurturing environment to promote confidence and independence.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to ensure consistent progress.
What We're Looking For:The ideal candidate will be:
- Experienced in supporting children with special educational needs (SEN), particularly on a 1:1 basis.
- Patient, empathetic, and skilled at building rapport with children.
- Confident in implementing personalised learning plans.
- Qualified with a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certification (desirable but not essential).
- A team player who is adaptable and proactive in their approach.
