Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a Procurement Manager for our Local Authority client.

The Responsibilities of the Procurement Manager will be;

  • Manage the team to deliver procurement and deliver compliant and cost-effective procurement of high value/risk goods, works and/or services
  • Reviewing current procurement practices, contracts and identifying new and innovative ways of delivering services through procurement and implementing these
  • To facilitate cultural change across the organisation to deliver effective and efficient procurement
  • Reduce the environmental impact of the organisation's procurement activity
  • Implementing and promoting the organisation's policies and procedures relating to all areas of employment and service delivery.

The Ideal candidate for the Procurement Manager will have;

  • CIPS qualified or equivalent Procurement qualification
  • Experience in Procurement Management in Public Sector organisations (essential)
  • Experience in tendering and contract management processes
  • Confident ICT user - Microsoft Office, Excel & Procurement systems
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management.
