Job Description: As the Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for customers. Your primary role will be to greet customers, manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and provide administrative support to the wider team. Your excellent communication skills, positive attitude, attention to detail, and knowledge of automotive concepts will help ensure a smooth and pleasant experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome customers as they arrive at the shop.
  • Answer and direct phone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the shop’s calendar.
  • Maintain a clean and organised reception area.
  • Handle customer inquiries and provide information about services.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record keeping.
  • Coordinate with mechanics and other staff to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Process payments and manage cash register transactions.
  • Utilise your knowledge of cars to assist customers with basic questions about their vehicle’s issues and service needs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum education level GCSEs or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred.
  • Good understanding of cars and automotive repair services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Friendly and professional demeanour.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
