Your new companyHays Accountancy and Finance are working with a multi-academy trust operating across Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire who are looking for a finance assistant to join their head office team. You will be working on a temporary basis initially, with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

Your new roleYou will be working 37 hours per week within a friendly and supportive team as a finance assistant reporting to the finance manager within the trust. You will play an active role in providing an efficient and effective service to all schools.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable
  • Audit and compliance
  • Budget management
  • Advice and support
  • Additional administrative duties

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working in a finance position in a fast-paced environment (prior experience within a school or trust is desirable)
  • Ability to manage a heavy work load and prioritise effectively
  • Strong IT skills, including financial systems and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent numerical skills and a keen eye for detail
