History Teacher - Leicester-based Secondary School

Start: March 2025End: July 2025Timetable: Full-time (including form tutor responsibilities)

We are working in partnership with an Ofsted 'Good' Secondary school in Leicester who are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher to teach History at Key Stage 3 and 4. This is a full-time and long-term role, potentially until the end of the academic year.

We are looking for somebody who has relevant experience working with 11 - 16-year-olds within the last 2 years. Predominantly teaching History with some Geography and RE lessons. You will be given the regular number of PPAs to support with planning and marking Predominantly teaching KS3 with the possibility of year 10.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging history lessons to students
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
  • Predominantly teaching History with some Geography and RE lessons
  • Predominantly teaching KS3 with a possibility of year 10.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in history or a related field
  • Proven experience teaching History or Humanities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans.
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
