We are excited to support the Water Purification division of a leading global company in finding a new addition to their Service Team.

Position: Field Service Engineer (Midlands Region)
Location coverage: Leicester, Coventry, Northamptonshire.
Salary: £33,000 - £35,000, with a comprehensive benefits package. Basic salary will vary dependent upon the experience you bring to e.g. water experience, similar role undertaken.

Role Overview:
This is a primarily Monday to Friday position, with occasional weekend work required for urgent jobs. The role also includes participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota for emergency tasks. There may be some travel beyond the Midlands, with overnight stays when necessary. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided.

Responsibilities:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will bring your hands-on experience in water purification systems, or with pumps, valves, and piping, to maintain and repair equipment at various customer sites across the North West. You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure smooth operations at each site.

Your tasks will include:

  • Conducting scheduled maintenance and one-off services for water treatment equipment, both in and out of contract.
  • Repairing or replacing customer equipment as needed.
  • Ensuring minimal customer downtime through effective planning.
  • Installing and commissioning new equipment.
  • Providing customer training on equipment usage when required.
  • Keeping accurate records via a tablet and maintaining spare parts inventory.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in equipment servicing, ideally within the electro-mechanical or water treatment sectors.
  • Strong communication skills and a methodical, organized approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Full UK driving licence.
